Its Time to Give Thanks. Happy Thanksgiving!

On the fourth Thursday of November people in the United States celebrate Thanksgiving to honor the early settlers and their harvest feast known as the first Thanksgiving. A special day not only because of the delicious food served but also because it is a day to be surrounded by loved ones and share your reasons for being grateful. For me this is an extra special day because it marks the beginning of the holiday season which has always been the best and most memorable time of year for me! Christmas!

Every year the media spread the holiday cheer on Thanksgiving day with delicious turkey recipes, helpful Thanksgiving guides and tips, lovely craft decorations and surprise giveaways and activities for little ones.
This year Google began its Thanksgiving celebrations early this year by putting up a holiday-themed Google Doodle on Tuesday afternoon. The Doodle features a child-like drawing of a turkey whose feathers and wings move when your cursor runs over it. Cute, clever, and full of tricks to be uncovered, it's a great way to keep your kids entertained while you prepare the real turkey!

National Geographic also put together a great page to teach your little ones more about the first Thanksgiving? Check out National Geographic's guide here
